Julia (JJ) received her Degree in Oral Health Therapy in 2010 from Nanyang Polytechnic where she was awarded director’s list throughout the program and was a recipient of the Singapore Dental Association Award for outstanding clinical performance. Shortly thereafter she went on to obtain her undergraduate degree in medical research from the Australian National University in 2013.

Prior to joining expatdental®, JJ has worked at the Singapore Health Promotion Board treating children. She then spent 5 years at the Singapore National Dental Centre caring for patients in a tertiary setting, seeing patients that require higher level of care within the hospital, actively participating in research opportunities with head and neck cancer patients, and conducting inter-professional education with medical nurses and doctors on detection of common oral conditions. She has been caring for her patients and their teeth for over 8 years and believes education and prevention is the best way to integrate oral and systemic health.

In her spare time, JJ enjoys playing the flute and ukulele, as well as painting.
